Triumph Through Trials

Faith Tells me that no matter what lies ahead of me, God is already there.
Once the process began I cried out immediately to God to fix the situation. I wanted it done and over with as soon as possible. I knew I couldn’t do anything to fix the situation so I gave God full control. Sometimes it’s hard giving God control over a part of your life, but specifically for this situation I was going through I knew there was nothing I could do that would fix the problem, it would only take God’s mighty hand, grace and power for a miracle to happen. At the beginning it’s easy to believe and stand up and fight for that miracle and pray for God’s will to be done because you know God is faithful and he will work out all things for good. However, there is a part in the process between where you are and where you want to be in which it all just comes down to waiting and trusting on God’s timing.
“God has perfect timing, Never early, Never late. It takes a little patience and a whole lot of faith but it’s worth the wait”.
The quote above just happens to be on my living room wall (talk about perfect timing). Through trials God doesn’t want us to lean on our own understanding or what we see or hear but to trust that He got this. Let me tell you that waiting is not so easy, especially when you so desperately need a miracle to happen. I accumulated stress and bottled up tears because of fear that things weren’t going to get better. Instead of crying out to God and telling him how I felt, I bottled it up because I didn’t want to think about it, I didn’t want to think of what could possibly be happening or what could happen. I was frustrated when I didn’t see things going the way I wanted them to or saw that the miracle wasn't coming. I started questioning God, but he would always bring me back to the quote below, “I have perfect timing”. Yes we want things now, but that’s not God’s plan. It is not our duty to try and understand what God is doing. Trusting means not knowing how God is going to make it happen or when but that He is!
I had people all around encouraging me but that wasn’t helping me. It was actually getting me angry because they couldn’t feel what I was feeling. There was no encouragement anyone could give me to make me feel better because I already had everything bottled up inside and I couldn’t let go. I was digging a bigger whole for myself by holding on to those feelings than letting go of how I felt and letting God embrace me with his love and peace. Cast all your cares on him, he wants to wipe away every tear, hold you near and comfort you.
The waiting isn’t fun at all at first because it takes a little bit of practice before you can dance through the storm but that’s the time God uses you to purify you, to strengthen you for what he has called you to do. He puts you through a fire that doesn’t burn you because He knows how much you can handle but he wants to see how strong your faith in Him is and even through the fire, He is still with you.
James 1: 3-4 “For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow for when our endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything”.
The real test is can you survive? Can you go against what you feel and put your complete faith on him? Despite the circumstances do you just throw yourself to the floor and die or do your rise up and grow? If God were to bless you or save you immediately without putting you through a process, your character wouldn’t be molded, your faith wouldn’t grow in him. It is the perseverance through the trials that molds you for God’s calling. There is purpose in every process and whether we understand it or not we have to hang on to God’s hands and just walk. Allow God to do what he wants to do in our lives because without the process God cannot give us what he has promised.
Even when your strength begins to weaken and you feel like you can’t no more, that’s when you are so close to the breakthrough. Cry out to God, tell him, God go into the empty places in my heart and fill it up. I need you now, not a minute or a second later, I need to feel your peace, I need to connect myself to your timing. What you don’t have within you, God will provide but encourage yourself, love yourself, and push yourself. It’s not easy, I know, but do not give up, keep pushing because victory is coming even when all the odds seem against you. Never lose faith. It will be your faith in Him through the process that will leave you shinning brighter for others to see what He has done in you.
